A Midsummer Night’s Dream Reading Group
A two-week reading group led by Jesse Brownstein
Saturdays August 5th and 12th, 2023 - 1pm - 3.30pm
Magical transformations. Quarreling lovers. Mischievous fairies. Hilarious clowns. These are just some of the many reasons A Midsummer NIght’s Dream is one Shakespeare’s most beloved Comedies. Discover for yourself why this play has been delighting audiences across the globe for centuries at C5 Studios’ latest Shakespeare Reading Group.
Join us on Saturdays August 5 and 12 to read all of Midsummer out loud—stopping along the way to discuss language, themes, characters, history, and more. New to Shakespeare? No problem! This is the perfect opportunity to get to know his work. And for longtime fans, there’s no better way to deepen your appreciation than by reading his words out loud with others.
Anyone 12 and up is welcome to join. Attendance each week is encouraged, but not required. Bring a copy of the play if you have one—we’ll have a few you can borrow at C5 and we’ll also provide links to free digital versions.
