Spinning a Tale - Storytelling for the Magic of Winter

A Storytelling Workshop for Teens and Adults with Erin Boehme

Saturday, December 5th, 2020 - 11.30am - 3.00pm and Sunday, December 6th - 11.30am - 3.00pm

Join us for a two-part storytelling workshop offering the skills, practice and purpose for rekindling the art of ancient oral traditions of telling a story.

Find out why storytelling is important to our children, developing minds and for the culture of our community. Storytelling transforms us into whole learners. We connect deeply to lessons, knowledge, magic, information, emotions and our entire sensory system just through listening to a story. We have the power to build stronger communities, heal from trauma and cultivate curiosity when we share stories with one another

Become a confident storyteller and an advocate for one our most vital forms of communication. Protect our imaginations and help weave magic back into the hearts of our people.

These workshops will connect you deeply with yourself, others and to ancient knowledge.

Due to the nature of these workshops, they will be held outdoors at Millpond to allow for safer gathering.

Erin Boehme, an educator of 25 years and the Director of Wild Roots Forest School Eastern Sierra, will guide you through the process of becoming a storyteller and give you the tools you need to continue your journey as a storyteller.

If you are aged 20 or under, we strongly encourage you to reach out to us in person or via email at contact@c5studios.org to discuss reduced rates and free scholarship places available for teens and young adults.
