Classes and Workshops

Programs:

  • Hands-on art-making and creative workshops for children, young people and adults including on-site, standards-based art workshops during the school day (partnering with local schools), after-school classes and summer programs

  • Training of teaching artists to give local artists understanding and knowledge needed to work with schools and other institutions

  • Outreach program that will connect teaching artists with schools and other institutions for off-site creative opportunities or arts integration projects

  • Professional development for teachers dedicated to bringing creative and arts-based learning opportunities (Arts Integration) into their classrooms and boosting teacher engagement and wellbeing

  • Artist-in-residence program hosting local or visiting artists undertaking specific projects which engage with and celebrate the unique landscape, history and culture of the Eastern Sierras

  • Event/lecture program inviting visiting and local artists, makers, naturalists, historians and storytellers to share their unique experiences and skills with the community

  • After-school work space available space for school-aged children to use, possibly with community volunteer mentorship program
