Make Your Own Tunnel Book - A 3D Diorama

Join this class to create your own mini diorama with your art! We will be walking through how to create a tunnel book an then everyone will get the chance to develop their own little world to put inside of their tunnel books.
These 3D artworks date back to the mid 18th century and were originally inspired by extravagant theater sets.
In this class we will be drawing, collaging, and cutting to create the imagery within our mini ‘sets.’ This project does involve using X-acto knives to cut out intricate details to create the windows between your panels.
Take part in this class and leave with your own scene, displayed in a dynamic, three dimensional design. This experience is a way to deepen your understanding of layers, depth, perspective, and to have fun shaping and building your own microcosm!
This workshop is for ages 11+.
