Let’s gather to celebrate the Lunar New Year!
We will drink special Chinese Tea and learn some ways to meditate with tea. We’ll learn and practice some simple movements of Qigong, celebrating movement as medicine and good health. We’ll do some creative art work using the parallel verses for 2026 from Plum Village, in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. And… there will be surprise red envelopes to celebrate prosperity. Bring one little quote or poem to add to an envelope.
The Lunar New Year is known in many different countries, most notably for us as Chinese New Year and Tet in Vietnam. It will be the year of the wood snake, a time of transformation, growth, and introspection. Let’s gather and share the intention for transformation to love, compassion, freedom, health and justice for all.
