Join us for gentle mindful movement and a seated meditation to ease into the weekend. This class offers a practical, welcoming path into mindfulness. We’ll begin with a brief overview of what mindfulness is—and isn’t—then move into two simple meditation practices to help anchor attention in the present moment. There will be time at the end for reflection and questions.
This class is designed to be supportive for beginners while still offering depth for those with prior experience. Chairs and props available, bring your own cushion if you have one.
Alexa has been practicing meditation since 2018 and is a Mindfulness Facilitator in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through Brown University’s School of Professional Studies. She has attended over 10 silent meditation retreats, with a focus on insight, or Vipassana, practice.
Her approach to teaching is grounded in ongoing practice and curiosity, with an emphasis on meeting experience with a “beginner’s mind.” She aims to create a steady, down-to-earth space for all to explore mindfulness. She’d love to hear from you!
