A Mixed-Media Workshop with Monika Metzenthin

Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 - 11am - 1pm

Capture a dream in line and color! Use your imagination and invent a new dream by combining worlds that only exist in your art!

In this fun workshop for people of all ages we will be creating colored pencil drawings that combine images from our imagination as well as pictures we find in magazines. For our backgrounds we will be experimenting with washes and wet-in-wet watercolor techniques to design a space in which everything is possible. We will learn a technique on how to transfer any image onto our paper and then explore ways to use principles of design to make it all come together as we fill our drawings with vibrant colored pencils.

We welcome adults and children ages 8 and up. 

Your instructor will be Teaching Artist Monika Metzenthin who has been facilitating creative experiences for audiences of all ages in all media for over two decades.
