Lori Michelon lives in Tom’s Place, CA, at 7,000ft elevation in the eastern Sierra. 

This is where she makes and practices her art: in her garage sometimes, mostly in my kitchen and dining room, and when the weather’s nice, her deck. 

She is a printmaker working mostly in relief (lino, wood, rubber). She received her MFA in printmaking from CSULB in 2005. 

First and foremost though, everything she does starts with drawing! For the Luxe windows she enjoyed playing with black gesso and acrylic paint pens. 

She is still in love with hybrids, hence, the raven people she created.
