Nature Connection Field Games *Fundraiser for Ukraine 💙💛 *
Saturday, May 21st, 2022 - 9.30am - 12.30pm
Join us in the fields ready to play! We will engage our awareness, problem solving, creativity, nature knowledge, physical prowess and thrill through a day of field games for folks ages 4-100!
Organized games provide an excellent opportunity to embody knowledge and skill. We will have time to share our experiences with one another and go over the developmental affordances of our play.
Led by Erin Boehme, Director of Wild Roots Forest School Eastern Sierra and Academy of Forest Kindergarten Teachers, this gathering will focus on our innate ability to engage with nature, ourselves and our community building relationships through the art of play!
Please be prepared to run, be chased, hide, play the trickster, sit on the ground, stay open to new experiences and be yourself. Our time together will flow between physical play and more restful focused activities. Pack yourself drinking water, nutritious snacks, a ground blanket and proper gear for the weather.
We encourage whole families to attend, as well as individuals interested in play and educators who would like to add to their teaching tool box!
Bring a packed lunch for community picnic to follow!
This event will be held at Millpond - please meet in the lower parking lot.
This is a donation-based event - suggested donation of $10 for individuals or $20 for a family.
C5 Studios members may attend this class for free! No need to donate.
💙💛 This session is a fundraiser! All proceeds will be donated to organizations providing medical and humanitarian aid for people affected by violence in Ukraine.
