Take a stand against domestic violence!

 C5 Studios is proud to announce our partnership with Wild Iris, a local non-profit organization dedicated to promoting a safer community by empowering and restoring the independence of those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. 

Many of us are feeling a sense of overwhelm when we consider the many problems and challenges that exist in the world around us and we feel powerless and doubtful that our own individual actions can contribute to positive change.  In a time like this, the importance of connecting at a grassroots level with local organizations that are doing real, essential work here in our own community cannot be understated.  You CAN make a difference!

C5 Studios Community Arts Center recognizes that in the time of Covid-19, domestic violence and abuse have increased substantially in Inyo and Mono Counties.  Wild Iris, our local crisis response center, is operating at full capacity to try to meet our community’s needs.  In 2020, the demand for Wild Iris support services has more than doubled compared to years past.  Wild Iris is on track to serve over 1000 survivors of domestic violence and abuse this year alone.

The Event - A Show for a Cause

At a time when gathering in familiar ways is not encouraged, C5 Studios is curating a special art show and auction to both increase awareness and to raise greatly needed funds to support Wild Iris and ensure they are able to respond to those who need it most. 

Reservations are only needed to attend the Art Show and Auction on Friday or Saturday evening. Anyone can view the show and take part in the silent auction from 10am - 3pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The ten items with the highest number of bids on Sunday at 4pm will be photographed and out up on our website at 6pm to give people a last chance to bid before midnight on Sunday.
